About the band:                            PROMO in German (PDF)

Viacheslav (drums),

Ivan (accordion, vocals) and

Andrej (bass) started playing as Spichki in November 1992.

The band experimented a lot with various music styles, had frequent concerts in different music clubs of Vilnius.

In May 1993 Spichki were accepted very well by the audience at “The Worst Bands Festival” (Pačių Blogiausių Grupių Festivalis).

For the next years the band organized and took part in many different actions, concerts, festivals. Spichki participated in festivals like “Trans” (Kaunas, September 1993); "Vilniaus Dienos" (LIFE)- 1996, 1997; "Roko Varnai" (Vilnius, 1997). The band also played lots of concerts in music clubs of different Lithuanian towns (Kaunas, Klaipėda, Visaginas, Ukmergė).

Trying to preserve and maintain Russian culture in Lithuania, Spichki took an active part in organizing and conducting of 4 Festivals of Russian Rock in Lithuania (1993-1997).

In the beginning of 1996 the band recorded and released the first album named “Spichki” (Zona Rec). In 1997 “Azbi Rec” released the second album of Spichki named “Raduga-Duga”.

In July 2000 Spichki had several concerts in Berlin, participated in “Soli Party”(Kulturschock 2000) and “Mauer Strip auf dem Todesstreifen” festivals. Later many gigs in Germany, Poland and Latvia followed.

In 2001-2003 Tomas “Maishas” played guitar in the band.

In 2002 "Bomba Records" released the third Spichki album called “Tri Belih Konia”.

In 2003 the album called "Zyvoj" (Alive) was recorded live and released by ourselves.

In 2005 the band was joined by Frank (guitar).

In the end of 2005 the album called “Pro!.. Kosmos” (About!.. Space) was recorded; the band was joined by Kostia (the second drummer).

The style of Spichki often changes, it is quite difficult to be defined; we believe it is simply good music.

At the moment Spichki have recommenced active rehearsals and are preparing a new program.
